About Us
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
— 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)
Why We Exist
The Scripture above is a call to study—to take the Word of God seriously and to learn to handle it rightly. That call runs throughout the Bible and is reflected in the lives of faithful men and women who have gone before us.
Study leads to discovery. And there is no greater discovery than seeing Jesus Christ as He is revealed in Scripture. Jesus said that the Scriptures testify of Him (John 5:39). The whole Bible leads us to Christ, and the more clearly we see Him, the more clearly we understand the life we have been called to live in Him.
This matters because everything depends on knowing Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that God's divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him (2 Peter 1:3).
There is therefore a lot to lose when we do not study to possess the knowledge of Christ.
When we do not study, we can miss what God has given us. We can believe what is untrue. We can live by assumptions rather than by truth. And we can fail to recognise the inheritance that is ours in Christ.
The Christian faith calls us to think, to learn, to examine, and to grow. A Christian should be a person of the Book—the Bible.
Our Mission
At approvedtoGod, our mission is simple: to help Christians work out their faith in everyday life.
You do the work. We do the helping. God gets the glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ is a real person who can be known. What the Bible tells us about Him, His character, and His desires leads us into a relationship with Him. Whatever your history, we believe you can have a genuine and fruitful relationship with Jesus Christ.
That relationship begins with knowing Him through the Scriptures and grows as that knowledge becomes part of the way you live. This will take a valuable investment of your time.
We also believe that our relationship with Jesus Christ reaches into every part of life: how we handle money, how we love people, how we work, how we care for our bodies, how we use technology, and how we deal with what is happening inside us.
So we write across seven areas of life:
In every area, we come back to the same question: What does it look like to walk with Christ here?
Who We Write For
We are not writing for people who have everything figured out.
We write for the person wrestling with doubt late at night. For the believer trying to find a consistency that keeps slipping through their hands. For the person who wants to love Jesus more deeply. For anyone who is hungry for truth as revealed in Scripture and wants to live in that truth.
And if you are not sure what you believe yet, or if you once walked away from faith and are quietly finding your way back, you are welcome here too.
You do not need to have everything sorted before you begin.
Through our articles, Bible studies, and poems, we want to partner with you in your journey.
Our Resources
Everything we write has the same purpose: to help you know Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
Articles
The Bible was written long ago, but your life is happening now.
Our articles explore questions and subjects that meet you where you are. We take the timeless truth of Scripture and ask what it means for the way we actually live.
You should come away knowing something you did not know before, seeing something more clearly, or thinking differently about something that matters. We aim for honest writing rather than polished religious language—truth that can be understood and applied without losing its depth.
Bible Studies
Some subjects need more than a quick read.
Our Bible studies take time to explore what Scripture says and how different passages fit together. Sometimes we work through a book of the Bible. Sometimes we follow one particular subject across Scripture.
The goal is not simply to give you our conclusions. It is to help you learn to read the Bible well for yourself, understand its message more clearly, and allow God's Word to carry real weight in your life. Each study is intended to leave you with something to think about, something to practise, and a reason to return to Scripture for yourself.
Poems
Some things are difficult to explain.
The relief of a prayer finally answered. The ache of waiting on God in silence. The quiet joy of an ordinary morning spent with Him. The questions we carry but rarely say aloud.
Our poems give those things a place. They are not written to prove anything or replace Scripture. They are simply an attempt to put words to what it feels like to reach towards God honestly, with nothing hidden.
